Department News

On October 29, 2002, the Donut Party was held at the home of Dean Mike Grajek.  On May 13, 2003, the Department Picnic was held at the home of Professor Ed Smerek.

Professor Jan Green is retiring after 28 years at Hiram.  A reception in her honor was held on campus on May 15, 2003, and during Commencement exercises, she was presented with Hiram's Distinguished Service Award.

Also at Commencement on May 17, 2003, Professor Ed Smerek was presented with the Vencl/Carr Recognition of Teaching Excellence Award.
