MINORING IN ENGLISH
HIRAM COLLEGE

The English minor allows students to combine another major with the study of literature. For example, some recent minors have majored in Art and Biomedical Humanities. The minor course of study in the English Department offers interested students a structured opportunity to evaluate literary texts from a variety of critical perspectives. The English minor is not available to students majoring in English, Creative Writing, and English with Creative Writing Emphasis because of the overlap between the programs.
