ENGLISH WITH A CREATIVE WRITING EMPHASIS
HIRAM COLLEGE

This major is available to students in the Classes of 2010 and earlier. Students from the Class of 2011 and later should consider the major in Creative Writing.

The major in English with a Creative Writing Emphasis requires at least ten (10) courses, seven courses in literature and three courses in writing. Students are encouraged to take additional courses, particularly if they intend to continue with graduate study in the field. However, the English with Creative Writing Emphasis major cannot be combined with a Writing minor because of extensive course overlap between the two programs.
