Getting the Most from the Career Center

Read Chapter Five

The goals of this class are:

  • To identify the resources available through the Career Center
  • To understand how to use the ones you will need

Review the resources described on the Career Center website under "Employment" for a description of the materials and services provided to job seekers by the Career Center. In addition to the services described there, counseling and consultation with the Director is always available.

In fact, many other fun things are available in the Career Center itself such as the annual holiday cookie decorating party, the gumball machine, and the ever-full pretzel jar in the Resource Room.

If you are really on campus, come in an introduce yourself - have a pretzel or a gumball, and get acquainted!

Activity

5-10. Check the resources from the Career Center which could help you prepare for your job search. Which ones will be most useful to you?

Add these to your Job Search Plan in your Portfolio.  Don't forget the Career Fair in February!
