A course website is the official website
for a
particular course. A project website is one that has been set up for
projects or other activities involving collaboration. Course websites
are automatically connected to the roster of registered students for a
course. A course or
project website can have just a few or several functions, including
announcements, a schedule, an online discussion area, assignments,
electronic resources, a chat area and more, depending on which features
the site's creator has chosen.
To open an existing course
or project website, click its tab along the top of the main
window. If you are a member of more than four or five websites,
some worksite tabs can be found and selected in the "More" pull-down
menu.)
To create a new course or
project site, first go to My Workspace by clicking the My Workspace
tab. Then click Worksite Setup in the menubar and follow the instructions.
Part of a course or project website is the
menubar. The menubar
contains buttons for all of the site's functions. (When you
create a
website in CTools, you choose which functions to include.)
Most sites also have a
"course homepage" or "project homepage." This can be accessed by
clicking the Home button in the menubar.
