Student Clubs

Among Hiram College's more than 70 student clubs and organizations, ranging from academic societies to special interest groups, there are two music oriented organizations.

Music Society

The Music Society is a group of students who love all types of music. Most of these students wish to teach music in schools or perform as a career. This club is open to all students at Hiram. Most members become registered in the state organization, the Ohio Music Education Association and the national organization, The National Association for Music Education. The Music Society takes an annual trip to the state conference for 3-4 days. Here they attend workshops, listen to various performances, hear world renowned speakers and shop the Great Music Exhibit.

Terrier Sound Marching Band and Drill Team

The Terrier Sound Marching Band and Drill Team is a student managed organization that performs a field show at home and some away football games and is the pep band for basketball games. They perform in parades and other selected performances throughout the year. Band camp is held during Institute Week, if you are interested in joining, please email TerrierSound@hiram.edu. No audition required.
