An active
free-lance musician in the Cleveland area, you might see him
performing at Blossom Music Center, in the pit orchestras of
Playhouse Square for ballets or touring shows, as an extra with the
Cleveland Orchestra, or as a frequent performer in the trumpet
section of the Columbus Symphony. Or hear him as a trumpet soloist
at a wedding, or as a member of a brass quintet…or on tour with
Burning River Brass. Wherever it may be, chances are good that he
will have a trumpet in his hand.
Instructor of
trumpet at Hiram College since the fall term of 1993, David has a
BME from Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory, a MM in trumpet
performance from Memphis State University (now the University of
Memphis), and has done Professional Studies at the Cleveland
Institute of Music.
Previous teaching
experiences include the University of Memphis, West Virginia
University, the University of Tennessee at Martin, Shelby State
Community College, Rhodes College, the University of Akron,
Mercyhurst College, and the Preparatory Division of the Cleveland
Institute of Music
